Thiessen Roadhouse Ministries (TRM) Christian, non-profit organization, was founded in 1984 and has been operating since that time. The ministry provided housing for transitional families seeking the possibility of hope and a better way of life. TRM gave them that hope, as an unconditional love. This acceptance focused on counseling and housing that educated them for rehabilitation and transition. Men, women, and children, came with heartaches, depression, addictions and tragic stories to tell. Some fell by the wayside, yet others chose to receive healing and experienced a miracle at TRM.

Skylight Room Now in the ministries 27th year, hundreds of families have graced our doorstep and have gone on to become productive citizens in our communities. We do not claim to be miracle worker's, only God's instruments, teaching educational, emotional, and spiritual skills. Together we bridge the gap by breaking down walls of despair and injustice. We help mend broken lives and wounded hearts, by encouragement through Christian Counseling and God's love.

In 2001, Thiessen Roadhouse Ministries introduced a new vision for the ministry, TRM Promise of Life Program. This vision was not to take away what TRM stood for, but to bring awareness to what was to come . A vision is a gift from God, who in turn allows us to hold that desire deep within our hearts. If it does not remain, it's not a vision. A vision is dedication, commitment, and going beyond ones self. It's a partnership, where together, we can make "Big Differences in Little Lives". This is the exciting challenge and we want it to be a contagious partnership, with you! TRM Promise of Life Program opens the doors to mothers in crisis. This is a structured, centered, and intense program that allows the mother who is pregnant, or a mother with a child, to bond. We trust you'll share and journey with us in our vision, "The Promise of Life".

Thiessen Roadhouse Ministries is composed of a five-member Board of Directors which meets regularly to assure that the foundation of the ministry is strong and in order. If you would like to know more about our ministry or how to be helpful or involved, please call. You are also invited to attend any of our next scheduled open board meetings. Wicker Room

Thiessen Roadhouse Ministries is made up of volunteers donating their time and gifts in special areas of the ministry. These volunteers share the vision of Thiessen Roadhouse Ministries by reaching out to others. Together we share our gifts, demonstrating a true heart of giving. There are exciting areas to get involved in. Perhaps you do not know you have a "gift", TRM feels that each one of us have a "special gift just waiting to be birthed"! Come and see what your gift may be!

Pictured above are TRM three completely furnished room available for our mothers and baby's coming into The Promise of Life Program. We feel that our mothers should have a safe environment and beautiful surroundings, for growth and for their self esteem. This is why we have designed and adorned each room with lovely things for the comfort and that "down home feeling" of acceptance. "Our home is their home"!
