"1st Annual TRM spring SALE"

at NEW SONG COMMUNITY CHURCH

 WAS a hugE success!

our vision of a successful fundraiser would not have been as successful if it were not for many of you contributing, donating, volunteering and hard work!  We also had a lot of fun!   It took us 3 days to set up, 3 days to sell, and 3 hours to tear down and clean up.  What a team effort, thank you TRM Volunteers, you were amazing!!!  Our family team is always there to help, no matter what the event may be, but this year, several enthused and excited New Song members "joined right in"!  We all worked side by side, full of joy, laughter, and hours of "food and fellowship", one could not ask for a more beautiful combination than that to have this great of a sale, validating the word Partnership!

100% (after expenses) goes back into the TRM general fund.

Our heart felt thankfulness goes out to New Song Community Church for their graciousness and kindness of letting us use the fellowship hall, advertise in the church body/past out flyers, lights, water, garbage/recycle, kitchen use, letting us bring in our baked goods to sell, tables, and CD player.  The staff, that went "beyond the call of duty" to open, meet our every need, and close for us, we can not begin to have the words for their generous "donation of love" for Thiessen Roadhouse.  Thank you, New Song Family!

TRM FIRST ANNUAL 2008

"Vintage Elegance"

LADIES LUNCHEON AND HIGH TEA

This was our first event of the year and it was also our "First Annual Ladies Luncheon and High Tea"!  It turned out to be one of the most enjoyable, fun-filled, and exciting ladies gathering ever!  Our MC was Victoria O'Kain, (also one of our TRM Board of Directors), in her elegant vintage attire, remarkably kept everything in order and on time.  It was held at the Oregon City Golf Club in Oregon City and a delightful location for event. All the ladies that attended commented how extraordinary it was, already, anticipating next years High Tea!  It was highlighted by several Hostess's inviting guest for a table of 8, a  silent auction on a beautiful garden patio, hat contest, (not only for ladies but for little ladies as well), a Vintage Fashion show, by TRM Models, door prizes & raffle, (necklace donated by Dewar Design, artist Nancy Cosby), light luncheon salads, and "chocolate cake forever", (dessert donated by Paul Cosby).  All of our prizes consist of lovely teapots and teacups that TRM collects through out the year.  Our musician for this lovely event was Helen Heydel on her piano, (also one of TRM Board of Directors).  Our incredible volunteer team made this a memorable event for everyone!

Our mothers were Special Guest Speakers, courageously sharing from their hearts "their personal stories" of how they came to be at Thiessen Roadhouse, each one touching the hearts of our guest. 

We had profitable returns from ticket sales and silent auction items, totaling $3500, this amount after expenses goes into the TRM General Fund at 100%.  We so appreciated all that participated and contributed to our worthwhile cause.

"Spring Fling"

LADIES LUNCHEON AND HIGH TEA

Beings we thought the First Annual TRM "Ladies Tea" was so much fun and a huge success, here we are, repeating a memorable time again!  With our date as April, we put in motion our "Spring Fling".  Everything was light and airy, bright spring colors in decoration, table settings, and fashion show.  This year we wanted to show our ladies they did not have to spend a fortune "looking beautiful".  Our TRM models displayed lovely outfits, they themselves put together in what they felt was comfortable and complimented their figure, this consisted of all varieties of daytime, travel, and evening wear.  The highlight was, all these outfits were donated to the ministry, from people such as yourselves, each model was a "Women of Beauty"! 

Executive Director, Linda Wiles Thornton was our MC for the day.  Our thankfulness of hearing our TRM mothers speak, from their "homelessness to TRM graduation day, brought tears "in the room". TRM commitment and dedication to give our mothers hope for the future, was validated by each testimony, that hard work and the Grace of God, they succeeded!  We were honored by the beautiful music of Helen Heydel again, and we added a new funding area of our tea, Photography by Amanda Echard, she graciously highlighted our event.  Spring Salads were and will be our "light lunch" served at each event, each Hostess make their specialty salad to share.  Again, Paul Cosby donated delicious cakes for our enjoyment and his wife another beautiful designed necklace for our raffle.  Our silent auction, items donated by the community, brought in a total of $5000, after expense, again going into the TRM General Fund 100%, to house, counsel, and educate Mothers in Crisis.  Each guest, each contributor, each prayer partner, helps continue to keep our vision alive!   

      ATTENTION LADIES! We Need Your Help!

                               It's Not too Early to "Host a Table!"

Start thinking about ladies you would want to invite to this unforgettable event, it's not too soon!  Several tables have been signed up for hosting already!  Get in on the fun!  To become a hostess, one invites seven like-minded ladies for their table of 8, either you collect ticket reservation's from each, at $25, (or some, as a courtesy to their favorite friends or co-workers, you invite them as your guest, at $200 per table. Keep in mind that "Little Ladies" also can participate 10 years and older, so invite a daughter, a sister, a mother, an auntie or niece, a grand/great mother or grand daughter, a neighbor, a co-worker, church friend, best friend or just someone that needs encouragement or a social lift!

In appreciation of all those who have attended TRM Annual Benefit Auctions from 2002 through 2010! 

It has been the  most enjoyable eight years of getting to know all of you in a more personal way during each one of events!  TRM could not be more blessed with such loving and kind people such as yourselves, making it possible for profitable returns that make all of our events that much more successful.  You are the catalyst that makes Thiessen Roadhouse's foundation strong!

All of these auction themes represent the mothers and their babies, because they are the "Miracles"!  Without You, their dreams of transitioning and hope of graduating from TRM Promise of Life Program would not have been possible.  Again thank you for your support!

These events were successful due to the outstanding contributions, participation, and partnering of our many supporters.  These celebration events are reflections of like-minded people giving in support to "TRM Promise of Life Program".  It allows Thiessen Roadhouse to continue the worthwhile cause of housing, counseling, and educating, Mothers in Crisis.  The events have always been filled with people who have believed in the vision and mission of the ministry, so the freedom of their giving was made easy by "The Giving of their Hearts". 

Thank you to the many outstanding volunteers who joined the auction committee's by giving their labors, gifts, and time. The efforts and support of the volunteers go far beyond expectations.  They are the heart of making these events incredible, memorable, and unforgettable for all of us!

Meetings will be on the first Sunday of every month, starting April 1st, at the new TRM Counseling Office and Conference Room in Oak Grove, Or  from 3pm to 5pm.  Your "Special Gifts" and new  ideas are very much welcomed.  Please join us in any volunteering, partnering, contributing/donating items, procurement, underwriting sponsorship, corporate hosted tables, registration, decorating, check-out, mailings/flyers,  hauling, set-up/clean-up or  just  joining us at auction 2010, for an  unforgettable evening out!

TRM 8TH ANNUAL BENEFIT AUCTION 2009 THEME WAS:

"TRM 25 YEAR ANNIVERSARY of FUNDING MIRACLES"

It was held on December 5, 2009 at New Hope Community Church

 We were excited in sharing our 25th Anniversary of TRM with you, celebrating at Auction 2009!  Those of you who attended, we hope you were too! We want to extend a personal thank you and to let you know how blessed we are each year by the support and prayers from all of you.  Those of you who were new to the ministry, and those who have faithfully been contributors for the past 25 years, we want you to know that your participation at our annual auctions is a sincere expression of our gratitude and appreciation, for you joining us again.  We recognized those who have partnered with us and have made significant impact on the life of the ministry, all these years, and together, we "Funded Miracles!".  It  is what the vision is, reaching out to the mother in crisis by focusing on providing educational and spiritual guidance as they transition back into society.  The mother and the child is the Miracle!  As each mother chooses life for their child, becomes educated, and graduates from TRM Promise of Life Program, they realize, You and TRM has given them another chance.  This partnering has held the ministry solidly together for 25 years!

The Auction Committee was committed to see that you had another unforgettable evening of presentation, fun, fellowship, catered appetizers, foods, and dessert, and an opportunity to find that "special something" to bid on!  Because of YOU, our profitable returns were $17,500, replenishing the TRM General Fund, 100%.  I trust that you went away satisfied and you are anticipating along with us for Auction 2010.

Again, invite your special friends, family, co-workers, and church family to our upcoming auction 2010!
